Desk #2

Here is the other desk I worked on. It is going to the Pre-school that I will be helping out with this year. I sanded the top and stained it a Dark Walnut and then painted the body in a cream with yellow. A friend recently gave me a nightstand so I am fixing that up now. And I have a dry sink as well to finish. But until then; enjoy!

The Desk.

This desk used to be mine. It was stored away up in the attic and I figured why not give it a makeover. It had veneer so I just painted over that with the color Duck Egg Blue and the accents are in a cream color. It was sanded and distressed and waxed to a finish. The chair was painted in the same cream and distressed. I picked out a blue paisley fabric I thought matched nicely. The inside of the drawers have the same fabric inside to bring it all together. It turned out to be a great desk once I finished.

Shirk's Dresser

Here is the dresser I have worked on this past week. My friends had wanted it painted white and the drawers outlined in a pretty green color that matches their bedroom. The top was sanded down and stained a nice red mahogany. I think it turned out nice. Hopefully they will think so too! Later this week hoping to finish two desks to post!

Sorry for the absence..

I know I haven't posted anything for a while! I apologize. Here is a sign I made recently for a good friend. I have been working this week on a dresser for some friends. So hopefully will get pictures posted once it is finished! I am also painting a desk. And I have lots of ideas floating around in my head for new signs, jewelry holders, coffee tables, etc. I just need to get supplies and find some good deals! Enjoy!
